Moving abroad is often described as an exciting adventure. Yet beneath the practical arrangements lies a deeper experience: finding your place, creating connection, navigating uncertainty, and learning how to feel at home in a new country.
Grounding abroad is a small-group programme that offers space for exactly that.
Through a unique combination of gentle movement, embodied awareness, counselling, and meaningful connection, we explore what it means to build an inner sense of stability while creating a new life abroad.
Whether you've recently moved to Portugal or have been here for years, this programme invites you to slow down, reconnect with yourself, and discover new ways of relating to both your inner world and your new environment.
A different way of finding your feet
Many of us try to understand our experiences through thinking alone.
In Grounding abroad, we also include the wisdom of the body.
Through accessible movement practices, reflection, and group dialogue, participants learn to recognise patterns, regulate stress, strengthen resilience, and connect more deeply with themselves and others.
No movement experience is required.
This is not a dance class or fitness programme. The movement practices are simple, gentle, and designed to support awareness, emotional wellbeing, and connection.
What you can expect
Each 2-hour session includes:
Gentle grounding and movement practices
Embodied self-awareness exercises
Guided reflection
Counselling-informed group conversations
Partner and relational exercises
Space for integration and personal insights
The group is intentionally small, creating an atmosphere of safety, trust, and genuine connection.
Who is this programme for?

About Eva
As a counsellor, coach, and facilitator, I am passionate about creating spaces where people can reconnect with themselves, their bodies, and each other.
Grounding Abroad brings together my experience in counselling, Transactional Analysis, embodied practice, and group facilitation. It was born from my own experience of building a life in another country and the understanding that true belonging begins within.
You don't have to navigate this journey alone.
Come as you are. Let's explore what it means to feel grounded abroad.
